All the headers that grace The Cheek come courtesy of my extremely talented friend Michael John Burrows. Did I say extremely? Yes I did.
He’s a writer. He’s a photographer. He’s a father and husband. And he’s a creative genius. Visit his site and you’ll agree.
And the cool thing is that all of his photographs are available for purchase, and worth the investment. In his own words . . .
I am an artist. I support my young family as a Speech-Language Pathologist in and around the fictional town of Lohwinkel. As I enter middle age, my urge to create is like a damned river that presses and pushes against the crumbling cement of my middle class responsibility and sometimes splashes over the top. The time to let my river of creativity flow will come, but for now, I content myself with writing stories and taking photos whenever I can.
My inspiration glows inside me like the sun. It’s a feeling from deep in my soul, a rich spring from the dark, life-giving earth that fills my well to the top, reflecting the infinite blue sky from above. I draw from that well and offer cool water to nourish your soul.
I want to just be an artist and to do that I need to sell my work.
My prices are reasonable and I’ll ship anywhere in the world. Tell me why you like a piece, maybe how much you want to spend, and I send you a signed and dated work to hang on your wall.
An artist needs a patron just like a mountain needs sunshine. The golden light is there to melt some of winter’s snow and give the river it’s life. And the river that flows to the sea and supports us all.
Click HERE to contact Michael directly. And thanks, Michael, for helping The Cheek look so good. You take what’s in my head and give it life. And I am grateful . . .
Brian

Right this very minute, the picture of the giant building that’s pushed out, AMAZING! No words to describe it all. Love it.
